Director of Volunteers is part of the PTA board and attends PTA meetings once a month. Serves as a resource and liason for the Volunteer committee chairs.

Miscellaneous fundraising opportunities

Help grow the library collection.

Raising funds is critical for all PTA events and initiatives. Oversee the Fundraising activities, ensuring the
Chairs know their responsibilities and have access to the necessary tools and resources to succeed in
their roles. You are a resource for your Chairs, helping them work through challenges, resolve issues and
find information relevant to their role and tasks. An important part of this role is to provide visibility and
recognition for your Chairs’ volunteering efforts and contributions. Checking in periodically with each
Chair helps ensure they are getting the support they need, and know their work is valued. This is an
opportunity to learn about a variety of roles, and have a broad impact on the PTA!

Events to bring the sunset community together

We will be bringing back a jog-a-thon this fall as a key fundraiser for our PTA. Students will collect donations and celebrate with a jog-a-thon fun run in early October. There will be prizes and celebrations throughout the weeks leading up to the jog-a-thon. The Chair needs help with preparing for the event and assistance day-of.

The Sunset Auction is our biggest PTA fundraiser. It brings in much needed funds to cover 2 years of events, programming, and support to our staff and students. We’re looking for a wide scope of talents and skills for our upcoming auction scheduled for April, 2024.
